Insurance is not recorded for most providers. The plan filters below work, but only a few hundred of the 387,088 listings carry insurance information at all - almost every provider will be missing from an insurance-filtered search even if they do accept that plan. Confirm with the practice.
Websites, gender and county are likewise recorded for only part of the country.
Distances are measured to the center of a provider's ZIP code, not to their door.

About registry data

What the directory tells you

An NPI is a 10-digit identifier issued through CMS's National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES). The number itself does not encode a specialty or location. An enumeration date is when the identifier was assigned, not a graduation date or years of clinical experience.

Taxonomy classifies a provider's reported type and specialization. The directory shows General Practice as General Dentistry and omits the repeated Dentist prefix. A record saying only Dentist appears as Not specified; it does not establish a specialization. Original values remain in the record and the desktop cell's tooltip.

Registry information can be incomplete or outdated. Confirm current licensure, specialty qualifications, location, accepting-new-patient status and participation in the patient's exact insurance plan with the appropriate board, practice or payer before relying on them.

HHS-OIG exclusions: downloadable exclusions data. A possible match requires identity verification; an absence is not a license or quality endorsement.
